Manned Guarding
Static guarding and site officers directly employed and managed by Hyde, with written assignment instructions, briefing and site familiarisation completed before deployment.
Overview
Security sits at the intersection of safety, service and presentation. The officer on a reception desk is frequently the first person a visitor meets and the last line of response when something goes wrong, and the contract needs to account for both.
Security is a directly managed division. Our security personnel are recruited, vetted, trained and supervised by Hyde, and hold current SIA licences for the roles they perform. Contract management, performance monitoring and client accountability all sit with us.
Managing security directly means we control recruitment standards, vetting, training and supervision rather than inheriting another company's. It also means officers can be briefed alongside our maintenance, cleaning and workplace teams, which matters on sites where those functions overlap daily.
Where a contract calls for specialist technical capability, such as CCTV system installation or alarm receiving centre monitoring, we work with accredited specialists under our own contract management. We are explicit with procurement teams about which elements those are.
Service Scope
Security scope is defined around site risk, operating hours, visitor profile and the client's wider workplace requirements.
Static guarding and site officers directly employed and managed by Hyde, with written assignment instructions, briefing and site familiarisation completed before deployment.
Front of house officers combining security awareness with reception, visitor management and customer service, appropriate to corporate and multi tenant environments.
Scheduled and random mobile patrols, opening and closing services and alarm response, provided where a permanent on site presence is not required.
Coordination of CCTV provision, monitoring arrangements and maintenance, with data handling arrangements aligned to UK GDPR requirements.
Support for access control systems, permissions management, pass issuing and coordination with the wider maintenance contract for system upkeep.
Key holding and alarm response managed by Hyde, with agreed attendance expectations, escalation routes and incident reporting.
Sign in procedures, contractor induction support and permit coordination, integrated with the maintenance permit to work process.
Assignment instructions, supervision, contract oversight, performance review and incident reporting held centrally by Hyde across all security provision.
Short term and event security cover for planned activity, resourced from our own team and supplemented at agreed notice periods where volume requires it.
Delivery Model
Security is delivered by directly managed Hyde personnel. We recruit, vet, license, train and supervise our own officers, and hold full accountability for performance, conduct and escalation.
Governance
Security is the most heavily regulated service we provide. Licensing and vetting are verified before deployment and monitored throughout the contract.
Client Benefits
One contract manager across security and the wider estate services, rather than separate relationships with guarding, technical and FM suppliers.
Directly managed officers mean lower turnover, better site knowledge and people who are accountable to the same management as the rest of your contract.
Where concierge and reception sit together, security and workplace support are coordinated rather than competing for the same desk.
Access control, CCTV and door hardware faults route into the maintenance contract without the client acting as intermediary.
Scale up for events, projects and temporary requirements, or adjust hours as occupancy patterns change, through one point of contact.
Incidents, patrol records and performance reported through the same framework as the rest of the workplace services contract.
Industries Served
Security requirements vary widely by setting, and assignment instructions are written specifically for each site rather than adapted from a standard template.
Why Hyde
Our officers are our own. Standards, vetting, training and supervision are set and enforced by Hyde rather than inherited from another supplier.
Security managed alongside maintenance, cleaning and workplace support, under one governance framework and one reporting cycle.
Site specific written instructions agreed before deployment, rather than officers arriving to work it out on shift.
A named Hyde manager accountable for resolution, so clients are never left mediating between their facilities and security suppliers.

We can review your current security arrangement and set out how an integrated model would work across your estate.
