Core Division

Cleaning Services

One of our three core divisions. Commercial, specialist and hygiene cleaning delivered against documented standards, scheduled audits and clear performance reporting, for environments where presentation and infection control both matter.

Overview

Cleaning managed as a contract, not a task list

Cleaning is the most visible service in any building and the one most often judged informally. It is also the service where standards drift most quickly when a contract is left to run without structured management.

We approach cleaning as a managed contract with defined specifications, agreed frequencies, scheduled auditing and documented corrective action, rather than a headcount on site and an assumption that the work is being done.

Specifications are built around the setting. A clinical area, a school, a food preparation space and a corporate reception each carry different requirements for method, frequency, chemical selection and evidence of completion.

Delivery combines directly managed teams with approved specialist partners for periodic and specialist works, so that specialist tasks are carried out by appropriately trained operatives with the correct equipment.

Service Scope

What the service covers

Scope and frequency are set against an agreed specification at mobilisation and reviewed as the operational requirement changes.

Daily Commercial Cleaning

Scheduled office and workplace cleaning covering occupied areas, circulation space, washrooms, kitchens and meeting facilities, to an agreed daily specification.

Periodic Cleaning Programmes

Planned deep clean cycles including carpet and hard floor treatment, high level cleaning, internal glass and detailed washroom work, scheduled to minimise disruption.

Specialist Cleaning

Post construction and builders cleans, void property cleans, kitchen deep cleans, and specialist tasks requiring specific method statements, equipment or trained operatives.

Healthcare & Infection Control

Cleaning regimes for clinical and care settings structured around infection prevention requirements, colour coded equipment discipline and appropriate chemical selection.

Washroom & Hygiene Services

Consumables management, sanitary provision, hygiene units and washroom servicing, coordinated alongside the cleaning contract rather than through a separate supplier.

Waste Segregation Support

Support for waste streaming and segregation at the point of collection, helping clients meet their own environmental and duty of care obligations.

Quality Auditing

Scheduled site audits against the agreed specification, scored and recorded, with corrective actions tracked to completion and reported to the client.

Reactive Cleaning Response

Response arrangements for spillages, incidents and unplanned requirements, with agreed attendance expectations built into the contract.

Consumables Management

Ordering, stock control and replenishment of cleaning and washroom consumables, removing the administrative burden from site teams.

Delivery Model

How the service is delivered

Cleaning contracts are delivered through directly managed teams supported by approved specialist partners for periodic and specialist works, under Hyde contract management and quality assurance.

  • Documented specification agreed per site and per area before mobilisation
  • Named contract manager responsible for standards and client relationship
  • Scheduled quality audits scored against the specification, not informal walkarounds
  • Trained operatives briefed on method, chemical use and site specific requirements
  • Corrective action tracking so audit findings are closed out and evidenced

Governance

Quality assurance in practice

The difference between a cleaning contract that holds up and one that drifts is whether standards are measured. Ours are.

  • Written specification per area and frequency
  • Scheduled and scored site audits
  • COSHH assessments and safe chemical use
  • Colour coding discipline where required
  • Audit results reported to the client

Client Benefits

What clients get from the arrangement

Consistent Standards

Documented specifications and scheduled audits mean standards are measured and maintained rather than declining quietly between reviews.

Evidence for Stakeholders

Audit records and corrective action logs give facilities teams the evidence they need when standards are questioned internally.

Infection Control Confidence

Regimes built around the requirements of the setting, with method and chemical selection appropriate to clinical and care environments.

Reduced Administration

Consumables, hygiene services and periodic works coordinated through one contract instead of several separate supplier relationships.

Flexible Scope

Frequencies and coverage adjusted as occupancy patterns, hybrid working arrangements or operational requirements change.

Integrated With Maintenance

Cleaning issues that are actually maintenance issues get routed to the right team without the client having to diagnose and re-report them.

Why Hyde

Why clients appoint Hyde for cleaning

A core division, not a bolt-on

Cleaning is one of three disciplines we resource and manage directly, rather than a service subcontracted around a maintenance contract. It receives its own management attention and auditing.

Specification led

Scope is written down and agreed before mobilisation, which removes the ambiguity that causes most cleaning contract disputes.

Part of an integrated model

Cleaning coordinates directly with maintenance and workplace support, so issues cross between service lines without falling through gaps.

Responsive account management

A named manager who visits, audits and is contactable, rather than a call centre and a quarterly report.
